Accomplishments:
I careered as Primary Teacher, Socio-cultural Animator (Community Development, Bachelor of Social Work) to Art and Dance and Movement Therapist.
For 5 years (2004-2009) I worked in Community Development Work in the domain of youth with a main focus upon substance abuse, integration work with foreign youth and female youth. For 3 years I was in leadership function.
Throughout my years of academic education i was politically engaged concerning human rights/women rights and integration.
In 2010 I successfully founded a unique time-out-project for children and youth with special personalities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention and Hyperactivity Syndrome and substance abuse disorders and lead the program for 4 years. After this period the project could be fully integrated into the education system.
Since 2014 I am living in Kilifi, North Coast of Kenya. Through establishing, empowering, capacity building and educating holistically young women groups I got a deep insight into the community. That experience made me decide to create a comprehensive program for young women and mothers (youth) in alcohol and polydrug dependence and closely associated with psychological, sexual, physical and mental abuse and trauma as by now the existing interventions are broadly designed for male youth and alcohol use disorders are minimal addressed and no prevention about alcohol dependence takes place, especially not in respect of young women and mothers.
