Accomplishments:
I have a bachelor's degree in hydrometallurgy and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. I had worked for Monsanto for 16 years as a R&D engineer and had held several R&D managerial positions at MEMC and Merichem Company for over a decade. I have 14 granted U.S. patents and have more patents pending. Most of the patents are in the area of separation and phase contacting devices. While working in industry, I came across a novel solid-fluid mass and heat transfer concept by accident. Finding it both elegant and interesting, I kept working on the concept in my spare time and successfully filed multiple patents to advance this technology. Upon retiring from industry, I decided to start a company to commercialize this technology.

Description: R&D and commercialization of several countercurrent solid-fluids mass transfer and heat transfer technologies.
Description:
Our technology can improve several categories of industrial operations, such as:

1. Regenerative Air Preheater. Our design is ten times less in size and four times less in cost in comparison with traditional air preheater design. This sector has a $10 billions global market with expected CAGR 4% for next ten years.

2. PFAS removal from drinking water using ion exchange or activated carbon. US EPA just released regulations for US drink water supplier to lower PFAS (a forever chemical) to below a few parts per trillion within five years. It is estimated that four to six thousand public water utilities need install treatment units and $15 billion will be spent over next ten years for PFAS removal from drinking water. Our technology can save material usage by ten times (IX resin and activated carbon) in comparison with existing technology.

3. Gas pollutants (SO2, NOx and mercury) removal with activated carbon. Our process is an order of magnitude faster and cheaper than existing Sulfacid technology. The global FGD (flue gas desulfurization) market is a $20 billion market. Our technology is a particular niche sector ($300 MM) within global FGD market.

4. Hydrometallurgy – Lithium, nickel, cobalt and rare earth mineral extraction using ion exchange or adsorption.

5. Protein separation – Protein, peptide and antibody separation using ion exchange.

6. Oil and gas – H2S and water vapor removal from natural gas using adsorbent.

7. HVAC - Air preheaters to improve efficiency.
