Fabrizio has over 20 years of international experience, mainly in the energy sector.
Over the period 2008-2016, he created, developed and managed Canopy, a company dedicated to development, financing, construction and operations of renewable energy projects (focused on solar, bio-gas and energy efficiency). Canopy employed up to 40 people and developed projects in over 10 countries across Europe and Africa.
Fabrizio started his career in the oil industry as project engineer for Shell International. He left Shell for a first entrepreneurial experience in 2000 launching a new telecommunication company in Italy. After an experience in strategy consulting for The Boston Consulting Group's energy practice, Fabrizio joined Arcelor in 2002 (then the world's Nr 1 steel company). He was responsible for the Group's industrial gas purchasing portfolio (1 billion $/yr) and achieved 250 million € savings over 4 years. After participating in the Arcelor-Mittal post merger integration process in 2006, Fabrizio was asked by the Group's management to set up a New Technology Venture Fund, dedicated to launching new businesses based on technologies developed by the Group's R&D labs.
Fabrizio graduated in Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris in 1997 and obtained an Executive MBA from INSEAD in 2006.
